Insurance Policy
For patients with dental insurance, we are happy to work with your carrier to maximize your benefit and directly bill them for reimbursement for your treatment. We file insurance as a courtesy to our patients. Please let us know at the beginning of your appointment if you have new insurance or any changes with your policy. We are currently preferred providers for Ameritas, BCBS NC, Cigna (Radius Network), Delta Dental (Premier Network), MetLife and United Healthcare and are able to file claims with most other insurance companies even though we might not be in their networks.
Please be aware that every insurance policy is different so you should familiarize yourself with certain aspects of your plan benefits including yearly maximums, deductibles, co-pays, frequency limitations and exclusions. The more you understand your policy, the more that helps us serve you more efficiently. We offer services that are not covered under some insurance plans. You are ultimately responsible for any expenses that are not covered by your insurance.
We will be happy to discuss fees with you and give you an estimate of what we think your insurance will pay toward your services at any time. Please do not hesitate to ask. You may also contact your insurance company directly with any questions about your coverage. If your insurance denies your claim or pays less than we anticipated, you are responsible for the balance. We may also need your help if your insurance company requires additional information before they will pay a claim and ask that you respond to our office or the insurance company as soon as possible.
